MBA programs are going to emphasize coding

Starting from USA, MBA programs of many universities are now adding coding subject in curriculum. It’s meaning that basic IT programming skill is needed for working in any sectors. Every companies in USA are having own websites and most are going for e-commerce business. In the time, MBA holders with coding skill are getting better opportunities than those who are not with. 

So let’s check Myanmar. In Myanmar, I also have many friends who studied MBA and many business related subjects. I saw one of their weak points which is IT skill. Some even don’t  how to use email. Some don’t know that Facebook and other social media websites are very useful for business. Some don’t know about website operation. If talking about E-commerce, it become too far for them to understand. Now many opportunities are opening in Myanmar from IT and telecommunication field. In this time, the companies are asking for those who have both skills which are business and IT. So some people emphasized in Business IT. Those who emphasized in IT are now learning business and those who emphasized in business are now learning IT. 

The companies such as Ooredoo, Telenor, Samsung and many others are calling for IT related managers. The foreign business entering Myanmar are also facing difficulties in recruiting as they are just meeting with people who are lack of IT skills. So economic  learners should now start learning IT. The steps is learning basic usage of computer, Internet & email effective using, basic programming skill (HTML & CSS), understanding basic computer and network system and  e-commerce studies. It doesn’t cost you. You can learn all that by self-study method. One more thing you should not forget is learning about mobile technology. You don’t need to be able to write a mobile app if you don’t want. But at least understanding basic knowledge upon mobile technology is required.  If you knew all that, you don’t need to worry to face the future growth of business in Myanmar.
